Caulking Gun Proline Skeleton Proline open metal frame 5180032
The Proline Skeleton caulking gun with an open metal frame is designed for dispensing sealants and adhesives from standard cartridges. The lightweight open-frame construction reduces overall weight while maintaining structural rigidity, allowing for easier handling during prolonged use. Manual trigger operation provides direct control over flow rate and bead size, and the open design simplifies cartridge loading and visual monitoring of remaining material.
The metal skeleton frame offers a balance of durability and reduced weight compared with full-bodied designs, making it suitable for frequent use. Manual trigger operation ensures precise control without reliance on batteries or external power, and the universal cartridge holder accepts most standard-sized sealant and adhesive cartridges. The straightforward mechanism is easy to maintain and minimizes downtime on job sites or during home projects.
Load a standard cartridge into the open frame by pulling back the plunger rod, inserting the cartridge with the nozzle facing outward, and pushing the rod forward until it engages the cartridge base. Cut the cartridge tip to the desired bead size and fit an appropriate nozzle. Squeeze the trigger to dispense material, adjusting pressure and stroke speed to control flow. Release the trigger to stop dispensing and, after use, retract the rod slightly if required to reduce residual flow. Regularly inspect the plunger and frame for debris and wipe off excess sealant to maintain smooth operation.
Use cartridges intended for manual caulking guns and select nozzle sizes appropriate for the joint width. For prolonged use, take periodic breaks and use gloves if handling solvent-based materials. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion of metal parts.
