How to use

Use with a suitably powered soldering iron set to the appropriate temperature for Sn60Pb40 alloy (commonly around 180–235 °C depending on joint mass and tip size). Clean contact surfaces to remove grease and heavy oxidation before soldering. Heat the joint with the iron, apply solder to the heated surfaces (not directly to the iron tip) until the solder flows and creates a smooth fillet, then remove heat and allow the joint to cool undisturbed. For desoldering or rework, apply flux if necessary and remove solder with a solder wick or pump.

Usage recommendations

Work in a well-ventilated area and use basic personal protection. Keep lead-containing solder away from food contact surfaces and wash hands after handling. Choose an appropriate soldering temperature and tip size for component mass to avoid thermal damage.
