Drill bit Proline SDS MAX 25 mm for concrete, model 72592
Proline SDS MAX 25 mm for concrete, model 72592 is a rotary hammer accessory designed to create 25 mm diameter holes in concrete, masonry and stone. The bit uses an SDS MAX shank for secure, vibration-resistant mounting in compatible rotary hammers and is intended for anchor installation, through-holes and rough drilling in reinforced concrete and similar hard substrates.
The SDS MAX connection ensures firm retention and rapid bit changes while reducing play between tool and accessory. The 25 mm cutting diameter delivers an appropriate hole size for common anchors and fixings. The bit is manufactured for use in demanding materials such as reinforced concrete and natural stone, offering consistent drilling performance and predictable hole geometry under hammer-drilling action.
Select a rotary hammer with an SDS MAX chuck and fit the bit by inserting the shank until it engages. Mark the drilling position and, if required, start with low-speed rotation to position the tip, then apply hammer-drilling mode at appropriate speed and feed pressure. Maintain steady axial pressure without forcing the bit; allow the tool's hammering action to remove material. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and prevent clogging, and use water only if the tool and bit are rated for wet drilling.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment: eye protection, hearing protection, and dust mask. Match drill speed and feed pressure to the substrate; excessive force reduces bit life. For reinforced concrete, be prepared for occasional rebar contact and use a suitable rebar-cutting or pilot method when required.
