Drill bit Proline 77135 — metal bit Ø13.5 mm, length 160 mm, 1 pc
Proline 77135 is a single high-speed steel (HSS) drill bit designed for precise metal drilling. With a 13.5 mm diameter and overall length of 160 mm, this solid ground bit is intended for use in compatible hand or machine drills to make clean, straight holes in metal workpieces. The bit features a 135° point angle with chamfering adjustment for fast centring and reduced need for repeated centre punching. Supplied as one piece in a protective plastic tube, this bit is suitable for maintenance, repair and light industrial tasks where a mid-size metal drill is required.
The Proline 77135 bit is manufactured by grinding from refined HSS, which ensures high concentricity, straightness and dimensional accuracy of drilled openings. Its 135° point angle and chamfering adjustment enable quicker entry into the workpiece and improve centring, reducing walking. The HSS material provides increased abrasion resistance, resilience and torsional strength, extending tool life under normal drilling conditions. The single-piece packaging in a plastic tube protects the cutting edges during storage and transport.
Secure the Proline 77135 drill bit in the chuck of a compatible drill and ensure the bit is tightened correctly. Mark and, if necessary, centre-punch the drilling position on the metal workpiece. Start drilling at low speed to establish the hole and then increase speed appropriate to the material and drill diameter while applying steady axial pressure and adequate cooling or lubrication for metal drilling. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear chips and avoid overheating. After use, clean the bit and store it in its protective tube to preserve the cutting edge.
For best results when drilling metal, use cutting fluid or lubricant to reduce friction and heat, select appropriate drill speeds for the 13.5 mm HSS bit, and secure the workpiece to prevent movement. Replace the bit if wear or chipping becomes apparent to maintain hole quality and operator safety.
