Drill bit Proline 77715 — metal bit 11.5 mm, length 365 mm, 1 pc
Proline 77715 metal drill bit, single piece with a diameter of 11.5 mm and overall length 365 mm, intended for drilling in steel, non‑ferrous metals and plastics. Manufactured from high‑quality refined HSS, this extra‑long, fully ground straight shank bit provides accurate, rectilinear holes and is suitable for use with compatible drills and drill presses for fabrication, maintenance and repair tasks that require a mid‑size hole.
The 135° point angle with chamfering adjustment enables rapid penetration and reduces the need for extensive marking out. Fully ground geometry ensures high drilling accuracy and straightness of holes, making the bit suitable for use with drill bushes. Extra length allows access to deeper or recessed positions while maintaining concentricity. Supplied as a single piece in its case for controlled storage and transport.
Secure the drill bit in a compatible drill chuck or drill press ensuring proper centring and clamping on the straight shank. Select appropriate spindle speed and cutting fluid for the work material—lower speeds and cutting lubricant for steel, higher speeds for softer non‑ferrous metals and plastics. Use steady feed pressure without forcing the bit; withdraw periodically to clear chips when drilling deep holes. When using drill bushes, the fully ground geometry will help maintain hole straightness and repeatability.
For best results when drilling steel, use cutting oil and moderate drill speeds. For aluminum and other non‑ferrous metals, a light lubricant and higher speeds are recommended. Inspect the bit for wear or damage before use and replace when cutting performance declines to maintain hole quality and operator safety.
