Drill bits set Proline 79010K — metal, Ø 1 mm, length 34 mm, 5 pieces
Proline 79010K is a set of five HSS metal drill bits with a diameter of 1 mm and a working length of 34 mm. The bits are designed for drilling metal and thin sheet materials and are suitable for precision tasks such as model making, electronics work and light fabrication. The set is supplied in a blister pack for convenient storage and quick access to spare bits.
The drill bits feature a 135° point angle with chamfering adjustment for faster centre penetration and reduced walking at the start of drilling. Ground cutting edges and refined high-speed steel (HSS) construction provide consistent sharpness and wear resistance under normal-use conditions. Supplied in a pack of five, the set ensures quick replacement of worn bits and continuity of work on small-diameter metal holes.
Select a suitable drill holder or chuck compatible with a 1 mm shank and secure the bit firmly. Mark the drilling point and, if possible, create a small centre punch indent to prevent walking. Start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed as appropriate for the material being drilled. Apply steady, moderate pressure and withdraw the bit occasionally to clear chips. For best results when drilling metals, use cutting fluid or a light lubricant to reduce heat and extend bit life.
Use the set for small-diameter metal holes where precision is required. Avoid excessive feed pressure and high rotational speeds that can overheat the HSS material. Store bits in the blister pack to protect cutting edges and keep them dry to prevent corrosion.
