Drill bit Proline 10.5 mm, model 79105K, length 133 mm, 1 pc
Proline 10.5 mm drill bit, model 79105K, single HSS metal drill with a working length of 133 mm designed for drilling through a variety of metals and similar materials. The bit features a 135° point angle with chamfering adjustment for fast penetration and reduced walking at the start of drilling. Ground cutting edges and refined high-speed steel construction provide consistent cutting performance and wear resistance. Supplied as one piece in a blister pack suitable for standard drill chucks commonly used in workshops, repair tasks and construction applications.
The 135° point geometry with chamfering reduces the need for centre punching and improves start-up accuracy, while the ground edges ensure stable chip formation and efficient material removal. Refined HSS material balances hardness and toughness for longer life under intermittent and continuous use. The 133 mm length offers deeper reach than standard short bits while remaining compatible with most handheld and bench drill chucks.
Secure the drill bit firmly in the drill chuck ensuring correct centring and runout below manufacturer limits. Select an appropriate spindle speed for the material and diameter, and apply cutting lubricant when drilling steel or other hard metals to extend tool life and improve chip evacuation. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed and apply steady feed pressure appropriate to the drill and workpiece. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear chips when drilling deep holes.
For best results when drilling metal, use cutting oil and moderate speeds to reduce heat build-up; avoid excessive feed force to prevent premature wear or breakage. Inspect the ground cutting edges before use and replace the bit when wear degrades performance.
