Socket wrench Proxxon 23 083 with 3/8" ratchet handle, 1 pc
Proxxon 23 083 is a single-piece socket wrench supplied as 1 pc and fitted with a 3/8" ratchet handle. Designed for fastening and loosening nuts and bolts, this compact ratchet drive is compatible with 3/8" sockets and intended for use in automotive, workshop and home maintenance applications where access is limited. The tool features a rotating grip for pre-tensioning, a fine-tooth 52-tooth drive for small swing arc operation, a convenient drive direction switch and a quick-release mechanism that holds sockets firmly until released. An integrated 1/4" (6.3 mm) adapter in the handle accepts extensions and, where appropriate, other lever attachments.
The rotating grip permits pre-tensioning against one side so that only a few millimetres of ratcheting action are required to loosen or tighten fasteners. The fine-tooth mechanism provides precise incremental movement in confined spaces. Sockets are retained securely by the quick-release button, and the drive direction switch is positioned for easy reversal. The built-in 1/4" adapter adds versatility by allowing use of extensions or compatible accessories without additional adapters.
Select a compatible 3/8" socket and push it onto the square drive until it engages with the quick-release mechanism. Use the rotating grip to pre-tension the nut or bolt by seating the tool against one side, then operate the ratchet with short swings thanks to the 52-tooth fine-tooth drive. Change the ratcheting direction with the drive direction switch as required. For extended reach or alternative leverage, insert a 1/4" extension or accessory into the adapter in the handle where applicable.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and select sockets that fit fasteners correctly to avoid rounding. Do not exceed the tool’s intended torque for heavy industrial applications; where greater torque is needed, use a larger drive size or a torque-rated tool. Keep the quick-release mechanism clean and lightly lubricated to maintain reliable socket retention.
