Dual ball-bearinged milled steel shaft with tool holder designed for use with MICROMOT steel collets. The assembly includes a ball-bearinged shaft end intended to be mounted on the machine and a highly flexible core that resists heating when working on tight radii. Total length is 100 cm and the shaft supports speeds up to 25,000 rpm. Six steel collets are included: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0 and 3.2 mm.

How to use

Mount the ball-bearinged shaft end securely to the compatible Proxxon or MICROMOT machine spindle according to the machine manufacturer’s instructions. Select the appropriate steel collet for the tool shank diameter, insert the tool, and tighten the collet holder to secure the tool. Operate within the specified maximum speed of 25,000 rpm and use suitable tooling and safety equipment for the task.

Usage recommendations

For longest service life, avoid operating continuously at maximum speed for extended periods, inspect collets and bearings periodically for wear, and keep the flexible shaft free of kinks. Use appropriate cutting, grinding, or polishing accessories sized to the included collets.
