Electrical switch Proxxon PR28700 — olive/yellow, for 230 V AC
Electrical switch Proxxon PR28700 — olive/yellow, for 230 V AC
The Proxxon PR28700 electrical switch in olive and yellow is a compact manual on/off control designed for 230 V AC mains. Intended for use with class II (double insulated) appliances fitted with a Euro plug and with a maximum power consumption of 500 W, this switch provides straightforward mechanical switching for small appliances, workshop tools and electrical projects. The housing is made of glass-fibre reinforced nylon for durable mechanical protection, and the colored housing aids quick visual identification during installation and maintenance.
This Proxxon switch supports up to 500 W on 230 V AC and is suitable for both portable and stationary devices. The glass-fibre reinforced nylon housing increases mechanical robustness while keeping the component compact. The olive and yellow color coding improves visibility and helps distinguish the switch in wiring setups. Built to integrate with Euro-plug class II equipment, it allows simple replacement or addition of a manual on/off control without complex wiring changes.
Connect the switch in-line with the mains lead of a class II appliance fitted with a Euro plug, observing polarity and insulation guidelines appropriate for mains wiring. Ensure the device to be controlled does not exceed the 500 W maximum power rating. For 12 V machines using a transformer, connect the transformer to the FS terminal as specified by the equipment instructions. Mount or position the switch where the cord lengths (250 cm input, 50 cm output) suit the installation and allow safe access to the actuator for manual switching.
Check that the appliance and environment meet class II insulation requirements, and confirm the power draw is within the 500 W limit before installation. Use the switch only with intact insulation and secure cable connections; replace the switch if the housing or cords are damaged. For low-voltage setups, follow the transformer and machine manufacturer instructions when connecting the transformer to the switch.
