POE Extender PULSAR EXT-POE3H hermetic housing for 3 IP cameras
PULSAR EXT-POE3H hermetic housing POE extender is designed to extend Power over Ethernet to up to three IP cameras while protecting connections from moisture, dust and other environmental factors. The unit consolidates network and power distribution in a single sealed enclosure, enabling simpler cable routing and reliable supply for outdoor or harsh indoor surveillance installations. This model supports compact multi-camera deployments where maintaining cable integrity and equipment protection is essential.
The hermetic housing provides ingress protection for PoE ports and cable terminations, reducing the risk of corrosion and short circuits in exposed environments. Supporting three PoE outputs, the extender reduces the need for multiple long power runs and centralizes power management for small camera clusters. The device is compatible with standard PoE-enabled switches and cameras, and its sealed design simplifies installation in locations subject to rain, dust, or temperature fluctuations.
Mount the hermetic POE extender at a convenient intermediate point between the PoE switch and the cameras, ensuring a stable and weather-protected surface. Connect the incoming PoE cable from the switch or injector to the extender’s input, then route the three outgoing PoE cables to each IP camera. Ensure cable glands and seals are tightened after connections to maintain the enclosure’s hermetic integrity. Verify network connectivity and power delivery to each camera, and observe appropriate grounding and lightning protection practices if installing in exposed outdoor locations.
Use quality outdoor-rated Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher) and ensure cable lengths remain within recommended PoE distance limits for reliable power and data transmission. Regularly inspect seals and cable entry points after severe weather and replace any degraded gaskets to preserve enclosure protection.
