Sealant cartridge Quantec SNE-310-SZ neutral silicone 310 ml gray
Quantec SNE-310-SZ neutral silicone sealant in a 310 ml cartridge is a gray, neutral-cure formulation designed for sealing joints and gaps in building and glazing applications where low-reactivity chemistry is required. The product provides a flexible, durable seal with resistance to weathering and suitable adhesion to common construction substrates. Packaged for use with standard caulking guns, this neutral silicone minimizes the risk of corrosion or staining on sensitive materials while maintaining long-term elasticity.
Neutral cure chemistry reduces the risk of metal corrosion and substrate staining compared with acetoxy silicones. The 310 ml cartridge format is compatible with manual and pneumatic caulking guns for controlled application. The cured sealant remains elastic, accommodating joint movement and temperature variations, and is formulated to resist aging from UV exposure and moisture. Its gray color integrates with many façade and frame finishes.
Ensure joint surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose particles. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the required bead size and pierce the inner seal. Fit the cartridge into a compatible caulking gun and apply an even bead along the joint, maintaining consistent pressure for uniform coverage. Tool the sealant within the product’s tack-free time to create a smooth finish and ensure proper contact with joint faces. Allow the sealant to cure undisturbed; curing time depends on joint depth, ambient temperature and humidity.
Use masking tape to protect adjacent surfaces for a neater finish. For porous or difficult substrates, perform a test to confirm adhesion and compatibility. Avoid application below the manufacturer’s recommended temperature range or on surfaces contaminated with silicone release agents. For exposed structural or movement-critical joints, follow relevant building standards and consider primer use where required by substrate.
