RAWLPLUG nails on plastic for hard concrete and steel for SC40 setting tool, 17 mm, hardness 57–60 HRC, 500 pcs + 1 gas
RAWLPLUG nails on plastic for hard concrete and steel are mechanical fasteners designed for use with the SC40 setting tool. Each nail features a 17 mm shank length and heat‑treated steel with a hardness of 57–60 HRC, providing consistent driving performance and shear resistance. The product is supplied as a kit containing 500 plastic‑collared nails and one gas cartridge (0.5 ts), intended for demanding structural and installation tasks where impact‑driven anchors are required.
These plastic‑collared nails deliver reliable mechanical fastening into hard concrete and steel when driven with the SC40 setting tool. Heat treatment to 57–60 HRC ensures high hardness and predictable deformation behaviour under load. Supplied as a bulk kit of 500 nails plus a single gas cartridge, the set reduces downtime for repetitive fixing tasks and supports consistent installation quality on site.
This kit is intended for use with the SC40 setting tool and for impact installation into hard concrete or steel; it is not intended for direct use with hand tools or in materials such as soft brick, aerated concrete or timber without verification. For applications that require corrosion resistance beyond untreated steel or where specific pull‑out values are mandated, alternative fasteners or additional protection may be necessary.
Load the plastic‑collared nails into the magazine of the SC40 setting tool according to the tool manufacturer's instructions and install the supplied gas cartridge as directed. Position the tool perpendicular to the substrate, align the nail with the point of fixation and operate the tool to drive the nail into hard concrete or steel. Verify each fixing visually and by checking for secure seating of the plastic collar. Follow all safety procedures for powered setting tools, including eye and hearing protection.
Use the nails only with the SC40 setting tool and the supplied gas type. Test a small number of fixings to confirm drive depth and holding performance in the actual substrate before large‑scale installation. Replace gas cartridges according to the tool's guidance and inspect nails for straightness before loading.
