RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-295 screw-in facade dowel 8 mm × 295 mm, no sleeve, surface and countersunk variants
RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-295 is a screw-in facade dowel with an 8 mm diameter and 295 mm length designed for anchoring facade elements without a plastic sleeve. The product is supplied in two fixing head variants — surface-mounted and countersunk — to accommodate visible or flush finishes. It is intended for fixing cladding, insulation boards and lightweight façade components to solid masonry and concrete where a sleeve-less screw anchor is preferred.
The sleeve-free design simplifies installation by eliminating the need to insert a separate plastic sleeve, reducing material handling and waste. The long 295 mm length provides deeper embedment for secure anchoring of insulation layers and thicker cladding assemblies. Availability in surface and countersunk head types allows selection based on finish requirements and load distribution. The metal screw-in dowel design offers direct engagement with the base material for reliable pull-out and shear performance in appropriate substrates.
Drill a hole of the correct diameter and depth into the base material following the substrate manufacturer’s guidance. Clean the drilled hole from dust and debris prior to installation. Position the insulation, cladding or lightweight façade component and drive the screw-in dowel through the component into the prepared hole until the chosen head type sits flush or as required by the finish. Ensure the embedded length provides adequate engagement in the solid substrate for the expected loads. Do not use in hollow or weak substrates without appropriate reinforcements or sleeves specified for such conditions.
Use suitable corrosion-resistant fasteners and follow local regulations and project specifications for thermal insulation systems. Verify load values and embedment depth for the specific substrate and façade assembly. When choosing between surface and countersunk heads, consider the visible finish and load distribution needs of the installation.
