RAWLPLUG RPP-PVC Low-Expansion Gun-Applied Polyurethane Foam for PVC 750ml
The RAWLPLUG RPP-PVC is a professional-grade, low-expansion polyurethane foam specifically engineered for PVC installations. Supplied in a 750ml canister, this foam is designed for precise gun application, ensuring efficient material usage and clean execution. Its unique chemical formulation provides superior thermal and acoustic insulation properties, making it an essential component for high-quality construction and renovation projects.
The primary benefit of this foam is its controlled, low-expansion rate, which significantly reduces the risk of frame deformation or bowing during the curing process. This stability is critical when working with sensitive PVC window and door profiles. Furthermore, the product offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of building materials, including concrete, brick, plaster, and wood, while maintaining a durable, moisture-resistant seal that prevents heat loss and sound transmission.
This product may not be suitable for applications involving constant exposure to direct UV radiation without a protective coating, as polyurethane foam can degrade over time when left uncovered. It is also not intended for structural load-bearing applications or for use on surfaces contaminated with oil, grease, or loose dust that would prevent proper adhesion.
To use the foam, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of debris. Shake the canister vigorously for at least 30 seconds before attaching it to the application gun. Adjust the flow rate using the gun's adjustment screw. Apply the foam into the gap, filling it to approximately 50-60% of its volume, as the material will expand during the curing process. Work from the bottom up for vertical joints.
For the best results, moisten the substrate with water before application to improve adhesion and curing speed. After the foam has fully cured, trim any excess material with a sharp knife and protect the surface from direct sunlight using paint, plaster, or sealant.
