Drill Bit RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS Max 16×400×540 mm
Drill Bit RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS Max 16×400×540 mm
RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS Max 16×400×540 mm is a drill bit engineered for use with SDS Max rotary hammers. It features a 16 mm diameter cutting head with a 400 mm working length and a total length of 540 mm, designed to penetrate concrete, masonry and natural stone. The geometry and carbide tip are intended to maintain drilling efficiency and stability in anchor and through-hole applications common on construction and renovation sites.
The TURBODRILL SDS Max combines a reinforced shaft and optimized flute design to evacuate dust effectively and reduce bit loading during prolonged use. The carbide-tipped head improves wear resistance and maintains cutting performance in abrasive materials. Its compatibility with SDS Max chucks ensures secure retention and torque transfer for heavy-duty drilling tasks.
Fit the TURBODRILL SDS Max bit into an SDS Max rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions until it locks securely. Mark the drilling location, start at low speed to position the bit, then apply steady axial pressure and moderate rotation/impact as recommended for the hammer model. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and allow the bit to cool. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and dust extraction or respiratory protection when drilling.
For consistent hole quality and longer tool life, use in combination with a rotary hammer that matches the SDS Max interface and provides the recommended impact energy for 16 mm masonry drilling. Avoid excessive side loading and use dust extraction when drilling in occupied spaces.
