Drill Bit RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS-Max 18×200×340 mm
Drill Bit RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS-Max 18×200×340 mm
RAWLPLUG TURBODRILL SDS-Max 18×200×340 mm is a drill bit designed for SDS-Max rotary hammers, offering an 18 mm cutting diameter, 200 mm working length and 340 mm total length for deep and precise drilling. It is intended for use in concrete, masonry and natural stone where extended reach and robust performance are required. The SDS-Max shank ensures secure retention in compatible hammer drills and allows efficient transfer of impact energy for faster drilling progress.
The TURBODRILL design combines a robust flute geometry with a reinforced carbide tip to improve drilling speed and tip life in hard materials. The long 340 mm overall length and 200 mm working length enable drilling past reinforcements and reaching deeper anchor points without changing tools. The SDS-Max shank provides reliable tool engagement and simple bit changes. The bit is engineered to reduce clogging and evacuate dust effectively, maintaining drilling efficiency over extended runs.
Fit the drill bit into an SDS-Max rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions and ensure it locks securely. Mark the drilling point, start at low speed to position the bit, then apply steady pressure while allowing the hammer action to do the work. Use adequate cooling breaks and withdraw periodically to clear dust from the hole when drilling deep lengths. After drilling, remove dust from the hole before installing anchors or fasteners.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye, ear and respiratory protection when drilling. Select a rotary hammer with sufficient impact energy and speed range for 18 mm bits. For extended life, avoid excessive lateral forces and inspect the carbide tip periodically; replace the bit if the cutting edge is visibly worn or damaged.
