The Rawlplug SDS+ Concrete Drill Bit 10mm RT-SDSA-10/210 is a high-performance tool engineered for precision and efficiency when drilling into concrete, stone, and masonry. Designed for use with rotary hammer drills featuring an SDS+ chuck system, this drill bit provides a stable and secure connection for demanding drilling tasks. Its robust construction ensures consistent performance, making it a reliable choice for both professional construction sites and intensive home renovation projects.
Advantages
This drill bit stands out due to its advanced geometry, which facilitates rapid dust removal from the borehole, significantly increasing drilling speed and reducing heat buildup. The high-quality material composition offers exceptional wear resistance, ensuring that the bit maintains its sharpness and structural integrity even during prolonged use in abrasive materials. The specialized tip design enhances centering accuracy, preventing the bit from wandering during the initial phase of drilling and ensuring clean, precise holes every time.
Suitable for
- Drilling anchor holes in concrete
- Installation of masonry fixings
- Renovation and construction drilling tasks
- Working with stone and brickwork
This drill bit may not be suitable for drilling into reinforced concrete where heavy steel rebar is present, as the tip is specifically optimized for masonry and concrete rather than metal. It is also not intended for use with standard drill chucks that do not support the SDS+ mounting system.
Key specifications
- Diameter: 10mm
- Working length: 210mm
- Shank type: SDS+
- Material compatibility: Concrete, masonry, stone
To use the drill bit, insert it into the SDS+ chuck of your rotary hammer drill until it clicks into place. Ensure the drill is set to the hammer-drilling mode. Apply steady, moderate pressure while allowing the tool to perform the work, and periodically retract the bit from the hole to clear any accumulated dust if drilling deep holes. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection.
What to consider before purchase
- Verify the chuck compatibility of your power tool
- Ensure the 10mm diameter matches your specific anchor or fastener requirements
- Check the required drilling depth against the bit's working length
Usage recommendations: For optimal longevity and performance, avoid applying excessive lateral force during drilling. Allow the tool to cool down if drilling multiple consecutive holes in high-density concrete to prevent overheating the tip.
