Two-component Rubber Coating RAYTECH MAGIC-RUBBER — Raytech MAGIC-RUBBER
Two-component rubber coating RAYTECH MAGIC-RUBBER by RAYTECH is a multi-purpose liquid elastomeric system supplied as a two-part kit for on-site mixing and application. The product cures to form a flexible, waterproof and protective rubber layer that adheres to a variety of substrates. It is formulated to deliver a continuous seamless membrane useful for coating, sealing and weatherproofing surfaces in maintenance, repair and protective projects.
RAYTECH MAGIC-RUBBER provides elastic recovery and resistance to mechanical stress, enabling the coated layer to follow substrate movement without cracking. The two-component chemistry ensures controlled curing and a uniform film with good adhesion when applied to properly prepared surfaces. The cured rubber offers water resistance, basic chemical resistance and protection against environmental exposure, reducing the need for frequent rework.
Surface preparation is essential: clean surfaces of dust, oil, loose particles and rust; remove contaminants and prime porous substrates if required. Mix the two components thoroughly in the ratio specified by the manufacturer until a uniform appearance is reached, working within the stated pot life. Apply the mixed material by brush, roller or suitable spray equipment to achieve a continuous film; for joints and repairs, apply sufficient thickness or multiple coats allowing recommended cure intervals between coats. Allow the coating to cure under recommended temperature and humidity conditions before subjecting it to service.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and application, ensure adequate ventilation, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing ratios, pot life, application thickness and curing times. Test adhesion on a small area if compatibility with existing coatings or substrates is uncertain.
