The Relpol RPC-1AS-A230 is a high-quality 1-pole staircase timer relay designed specifically for 230V AC electrical systems. This modular device serves as an essential component for managing lighting in residential buildings, office corridors, and public hallways. By automatically switching off lights after a pre-defined time interval, it helps maintain consistent lighting control while significantly reducing energy consumption. The relay is built for durability and reliable performance in standard electrical installations.
Advantages
This staircase timer relay offers a robust solution for automated lighting management, ensuring that lights remain active only when needed. Its modular design allows for easy integration into standard distribution boards, saving space and simplifying the installation process. By automating the switch-off function, the device prevents unnecessary energy waste, contributing to lower utility costs and extended lifespan for lighting fixtures. The reliable internal mechanism ensures consistent timing accuracy, providing a seamless user experience in high-traffic areas.
Suitable for
- Residential stairwell lighting control
- Corridors and hallways in apartment buildings
- Public utility spaces requiring timed lighting
- Office building common areas
This device may not be suitable for applications requiring complex lighting sequences, dimming functions, or multi-zone control systems. It is also not intended for use in high-voltage industrial machinery or DC-powered circuits, as it is specifically calibrated for 230V AC residential and commercial lighting networks.
Key specifications
- Contact configuration: 1-pole
- Rated voltage: 230V AC
- Mounting type: Modular (DIN rail)
- Function: Staircase timer
The relay is installed within a standard electrical distribution board on a DIN rail. Once connected to the lighting circuit and the push-button switches, the timer is configured to the desired duration. When a user presses a button, the relay closes the circuit to illuminate the area and automatically opens it after the set time has elapsed.
What to consider before purchase
- Ensure your electrical system operates on 230V AC
- Verify that the total load of the lighting fixtures does not exceed the relay's rated capacity
- Confirm available space on the DIN rail in your distribution board
For optimal performance and safety, ensure the relay is installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes. Regularly inspect the push-button switches to ensure they are functioning correctly to avoid timing inconsistencies.
