3D printing material Renkforce RF-4738596
Renkforce RF-4738596 is a 1 kg spool of red Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) formulated for fused filament 3D printing. The filament offers a balance of strength, flexibility and printability, with a maximum recommended extruder tip temperature of 240 °C. Its characteristics provide good layer adhesion and impact resistance while remaining relatively easy to print for users at different experience levels.
The PETG material combines the mechanical durability of engineering filaments with the printing ease of common plastics. It delivers consistent extrusion, reduced warping compared with some other materials, and reliable interlayer bonding for functional parts. The red colour is stable and suitable for visible prototypes, components and decorative elements.
Load the spool onto a compatible filament holder and feed the filament into the 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Set the extruder temperature up to 240 °C, and choose a print bed temperature and first-layer settings appropriate for PETG (moderate bed adhesion, slower first-layer speed). Use layer heights and print speeds suited to your nozzle diameter and desired surface quality. Allow printed parts to cool gradually to avoid deformation.
For improved adhesion and surface finish, use a clean build surface such as glass with a thin adhesive layer or a PEI sheet. Print with retraction settings adjusted to reduce stringing and use moderate cooling to balance strength and detail. Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to preserve print quality.
