Plastic model REVELL Express Locomotive S3/6 scale 1:87 (HO)
Plastic model REVELL Express Locomotive S3/6 scale 1:87 (HO) is an injection-moulded kit that reproduces the historic S3/6 express steam locomotive in HO scale. The kit contains accurately detailed body parts, chassis components and accessory pieces that require assembly and painting. It is intended for hobbyists and model railroaders who want a realistic locomotive for display, dioramas or integration into HO gauge layouts; glue and paint are not included.
The kit offers finely moulded plastic parts that capture external details of the S3/6 locomotive, enabling a high level of realism after assembly and finishing. Parts are designed for straightforward fitting and provide good surface definition for painting and weathering. The compact 1:87 scale makes the model compatible with standard HO layouts and allows easy incorporation into existing dioramas. The kit format lets users control paint schemes, detailing and optional ageing techniques for custom results.
Carefully remove parts from sprues using a hobby knife or sprue cutters and clean any moulding traces. Follow the supplied assembly instructions to fit chassis and body components, using model glue suitable for polystyrene. Test-fit moving parts before final gluing. Prime the assembled model and apply paints appropriate for plastic models; allow adequate drying time between coats. After painting, apply detailing and weathering as desired. Finally, fix small accessories and decals according to the instructions.
Use dedicated plastic model glue and acrylic or enamel model paints for best adhesion and finish. Work in a well-ventilated area and wear eye protection when cutting or sanding parts. For smooth paint results, apply a primer designed for plastic and thin multiple coats rather than a single heavy coat.
