Fixed-wing aircraft model REVELL 03899 — assembly kit, scale 1:72, length 270 mm, wingspan 182 mm

REVELL fixed-wing aircraft model 1:72 (length 270 mm, wingspan 182 mm) is an injection-moulded plastic assembly kit that recreates the Lockheed F-117 in reduced scale. The kit contains precision-moulded parts for fuselage, wings and control surfaces and produces a detailed static model suitable for display or incorporation into dioramas. The model reflects the F-117’s distinctive faceted geometry developed for reduced radar signature and is intended for hobbyists who assemble and finish scale aircraft models. Glue and paint are required to complete the model.

Advantages

The kit includes accurately moulded plastic components that allow for a clean fit and realistic panel detail. Its 1:72 scale and finished dimensions (270 mm length, 182 mm wingspan) make it suitable for shelf display and for inclusion in multi-aircraft dioramas without occupying excessive space. The faceted shape of the F-117 is represented to preserve the aircraft’s characteristic stealth profile. Parts are designed for straightforward assembly, providing a balance between detail and buildability for intermediate model builders.

Suitable for

• Hobbyists and scale model collectors who build military aircraft
• Diorama creators needing a compact stealth aircraft model
• Model builders looking for a detailed yet manageable 1:72 kit
• Educational displays illustrating stealth design and aircraft geometry

Key specifications

• Scale: 1:72
• Finished length: 270 mm
• Finished wingspan: 182 mm
• Material: injection-moulded plastic parts
• Model subject: Lockheed F-117 stealth attack aircraft
• Type: static display model (non-flying)

How to use

Remove parts from the sprues using a modelling knife or sprue cutter and clean moulding gates and flash before assembly. Dry-fit parts to check alignment, then use appropriate plastic model cement to join components according to the supplied instructions. After assembly, apply primer and paint with compatible acrylic or enamel model paints to achieve the desired finish; decals can be applied after the paint has fully cured. Allow adequate drying time between glue and paint steps and handle small parts with tweezers to avoid fingerprints on finished surfaces.

Usage recommendations

Use fine-grit sanding sticks to smooth joins and seams before priming. Work in a well-ventilated area and follow safety instructions on adhesives and paints. For improved realism, consider panel-line wash, subtle weathering techniques and a clear coat to protect decals and paintwork.
