Revopoint MetroX Advanced is a portable high-accuracy 3D scanner that combines a hybrid multiband laser and full-field structured blue light to capture detailed 3D data of small to medium-sized objects. The device captures up to 7,000,000 points per second and offers single-frame precision of 0.01 mm with overall accuracy up to 0.03 mm. The scanner is supplied with a dual-axis turntable, Revo Scan software and a Marker Block Kit in the advanced version, enabling ready-to-export metrology models for CAD, quality control, reverse engineering, 3D printing and prototyping.

How to use

Set up the scanner on the supplied stand or hold it handheld within the 200–400 mm working range from the object. Use the automatic dual-axis turntable for full-object captures to reduce manual repositioning; place the object on the turntable and start a scan session in Revo Scan. Select an appropriate scanning mode (multi-line laser for featureless or glossy regions, full-field structured light for maximum detail) and adjust depth camera exposure and digital zoom via the four-button control panel. Process the captured point clouds in Revo Scan, merge partial scans, clean unwanted data, smooth surfaces and export models to PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF or FBX for further CAD or 3D printing workflows.

Usage recommendations

For best results, choose the scanning mode according to surface properties: use multi-line laser mode for dark, featureless or reflective areas and full-field structured light mode when maximum detail and speed are required. Use the Marker Block Kit when scanning objects with few geometric features to improve alignment. Calibrate the device using the included calibration plate before precision measurements and keep the working distance within the specified 200–400 mm range.
