Filter Rittal SK 3286.590 — aluminium housing, pack of 2
Rittal SK 3286.590 is an industrial-grade aluminium housing filter supplied as a pack of 2. Intended for use in ventilation and cooling assemblies within compatible Rittal systems, this metal filter is designed to withstand moist or dusty environments while offering corrosion resistance due to its aluminium construction. The product is suitable for applications where reusable metal filtration is preferred and where simple installation and periodic cleaning are required.
The aluminium housing provides corrosion resistance and dimensional stability under typical industrial conditions. Supplied as a pack of two, the filters allow for quick replacement or alternation during maintenance cycles. Metal construction enables washing and removal of adhering particles using water or grease-dissolving detergents, which reduces ongoing consumable costs compared with disposable filters.
This filter may not be appropriate where very fine particulate filtration (HEPA or sub-micron) is required, since metal housing filters are typically used for coarse to medium filtration and washability rather than ultra-fine particle capture. It may also be unsuitable in systems that require non-metallic or chemically inert media if contact with metal is restricted by the process.
Install the aluminium filters into the compatible filter holder or ventilation slot of the Rittal system following the equipment manufacturer’s access and fastening instructions. For cleaning, remove the filter and rinse with water; use a grease-dissolving detergent when oily residues are present. Allow the filter to dry fully before reinstalling to prevent condensation-related issues. Replace with the spare unit from the pack during maintenance to minimize system downtime.
Use washable metal filters in environments with dusty or oily ambient air. If air or steam condenses on the metal surfaces, particles will adhere and can be removed effectively with water or grease-dissolving detergents. Keep a spare filter on hand to allow one unit to dry after cleaning while the other remains in service.
