Socket bit 1/4" 9 mm 6-point, Rockforce RF-5255009
Socket bit 1/4" 9 mm 6-point, Rockforce RF-5255009
Deep socket bit with 1/4" drive and 9 mm 6-point profile from Rockforce, model RF-5255009, intended for access to recessed hex fasteners. The long, slim body reaches bolts set back in housings or assemblies while the 6-point internal geometry provides secure contact with hex heads to minimise cam‑out and rounding. The bit is compatible with 1/4" hand ratchets, extensions and precision driver tools commonly used in assembly, repair and maintenance work.
The 6-point profile concentrates contact on the flat sides of fasteners, improving torque transfer and reducing the risk of rounded heads. The deep length enables access to recessed or countersunk bolts without needing to disassemble surrounding components. Manufactured to Rockforce quality standards, the bit is suited to repeated manual use and works with common 1/4" drive accessories for flexible application.
Fit the socket bit securely onto a compatible 1/4" ratchet or extension before applying torque. Ensure the bit is fully seated onto the fastener head so the 6-point profile engages the flat faces. Apply steady, controlled torque appropriate to the fastener to avoid slipping; for stubborn fasteners, use a breaker bar or longer handle while observing torque limits of the fastener and tool. After use, clean the bit and store it with other driver bits to prevent corrosion and damage.
The 6-point deep socket is preferred for high-torque manual fastening and when fastener head preservation is important; avoid using impact tools unless the bit is explicitly rated for impacts. Regular inspection for wear and rounding helps maintain secure engagement and safe operation.
