Threading die Rockforce M6×1.0 metric, diameter 20 mm, RF-DIE6x1
Rockforce metric threading die M6×1.0 with a 20 mm outer diameter is designed for cutting and restoring external metric threads of size M6×1.0 on rods and bolts. The RF-DIE6x1 die is made for use with standard die stocks or manual holders in workshops and assembly operations where accurate M6 threads are required. Its compact 20 mm body fits common die clamps and supports controlled material removal on steel, stainless steel, brass and other machinable metals.
The Rockforce M6×1.0 die provides consistent thread form and pitch accuracy suitable for general repair and production tasks. Its solid circular body offers stability during manual threading, reducing wobble and improving surface finish. The die’s design simplifies alignment on the workpiece and enables straightforward cutting or chasing of damaged threads. Because it is compatible with standard die-holding tools, it is convenient to integrate into existing workshop toolsets.
Secure the die in an appropriate die stock or holder, ensuring the cutting face is oriented toward the workpiece. Clamp the rod or bolt firmly and align the die square to the axis to avoid cross-threading. Apply cutting lubricant suitable for the workpiece material, then rotate the die slowly and evenly, advancing one turn and backing off a fraction to clear chips as needed. Continue until the required thread length is formed, then reverse the die to remove it from the thread and clean the freshly cut threads of debris and lubricant.
Use suitable cutting lubricant for the material (oil for steel, specific lubricants for stainless steel) and keep the die properly aligned to extend tool life and achieve accurate M6×1.0 threads. Inspect and clean both die and workpiece after use to prevent buildup and ensure consistent results.
