Rollei 26248 is an 82 mm circular polarising (CPL) filter designed for camera lenses. It reduces reflections and glare on non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, enhances color saturation and contrast in skies and foliage, and allows photographers to control polarization directly by rotating the filter ring. Constructed with chemically strengthened Gorilla® Glass and a titanium filter ring, the filter aims to combine optical clarity with mechanical durability. A Luminance Coating helps maintain colour neutrality while providing resistance to oil, dirt and water.

How to use

Screw the 82 mm Rollei circular polariser onto the front thread of a compatible lens and tighten it gently. While composing, rotate the filter ring to adjust the degree of polarization and observe the change in reflections and colour saturation through the viewfinder or on the camera’s live view. Adjust the filter continuously to achieve the desired reduction of glare from water, glass or foliage; within roughly a 90-degree angle to the light source you will notice the strongest enhancement of blues and greens. Remove or unscrew the filter when not required to avoid additional glass surfaces affecting the exposure.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use the Rollei 82 mm CPL with lenses that have the same thread size or with step-up/step-down adapters where appropriate; check for vignetting on wide-angle lenses and adjust exposure settings as the filter can reduce incoming light by up to one or two stops depending on angle and strength of polarization.
