Circular polarising camera filter Rollei 26332 — 77 mm, double-sided coating
Rollei 26332 is a circular polarising camera filter with a 77 mm thread size and double-sided coating. It reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces, enhances colour saturation and contrast, and fits lenses with a 77 mm filter thread. The filter is supplied as a single unit with black frame and blue/transparent glass and is intended for landscape, outdoor and architectural photography where glare reduction and improved colour rendering are required.
The double-sided coating minimizes internal reflections and ghosting while also repelling water, oil and dirt for easier cleaning and longer-lasting optical performance. As a circular polariser, this Rollei filter selectively reduces polarized light, improving sky contrast and suppressing surface glare without affecting exposure metering on cameras that require circular polarisation. The 77 mm thread size makes it compatible with many standard lenses in its class.
Mount the filter by screwing it onto the lens front with a 77 mm thread until it is secure but not overtightened. Rotate the outer ring while observing the scene through the viewfinder or live view to adjust the degree of polarization; maximum effect occurs at roughly a 90° angle to the sun. Use manual or automatic exposure as needed; modern cameras that require circular polarising filters will meter correctly. For shots requiring maximum sharpness, pair the filter with a tripod and a shutter release when using long exposures.
Clean the filter with a soft microfiber cloth and, if necessary, approved lens cleaning fluid. Avoid touching the coated surfaces directly to preserve the double-sided coating. When shooting landscapes or architecture, check the effect by rotating the filter and adjust white balance if colours appear cooler; for consistent colour rendition consider using a manual white balance setting.
