ROSA-PLAST Rosa3D PLA Magic Silk 1.75 mm 0.3 kg spool is a silk-finish polylactic acid filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm diameter material. The filament is presented in the Carnival color and is intended for users who need smooth extrusion and a glossy, satin-like surface on printed parts. It is supplied on a compact 0.3 kg spool suitable for small production runs, prototyping and decorative prints where surface appearance is important.
The PLA Magic Silk formulation delivers a high-gloss, silk-like surface without additional post-processing, improving aesthetic quality of decorative models and display pieces. The filament extrudes consistently when standard PLA temperature settings are used and when feeder tension is properly adjusted. Low warping characteristics and compatibility with common build surfaces make it straightforward to print on most FDM/FFF machines configured for 1.75 mm filament.
Load the 1.75 mm spool into the printer following the manufacturer's filament loading procedure and ensure the feeder tension is set to avoid slipping or excessive compression. Use standard PLA print temperatures as recommended by your printer or slicer (typical nozzle range 190–220 °C), and a heated bed is optional but can be set to low temperatures if needed for adhesion. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and retraction settings for optimal surface finish, and print at moderate speeds to preserve the silk effect.
To achieve the best silk-like surface, print at steady moderate speed, avoid overly aggressive retraction, and experiment with layer height between 0.1–0.3 mm. Use common adhesion methods such as blue tape, PEI sheet or glue stick if required. Store the spool in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to maintain filament quality.
