Filament ROSA3D PCTG + 10% CF 1.75 mm 0.3 kg — Black
ROSA3D PCTG + 10% CF 1.75 mm 0.3 kg — Black is a composite FDM/FFF filament combining a PCTG polymer base with 10% short carbon fibers. Offered on a 0.3 kg spool with 1.75 mm diameter, this material is designed to deliver improved stiffness, enhanced dimensional stability and better resistance to deformation compared with plain PCTG while remaining compatible with standard desktop extrusion printers that accept 1.75 mm filament.
The carbon-fiber-reinforced PCTG filament provides higher tensile stiffness and reduced warping compared to unfilled PCTG, supporting more accurate prints for functional parts and mechanical components. Its 10% fiber content increases heat distortion resistance and improves surface matte finish relative to pure PCTG, while maintaining good layer adhesion and ease of printing on machines with hardened or steel nozzles. The black color offers consistent aesthetics for industrial prototypes and end-use parts.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into an FDM/FFF printer equipped to handle filled materials. Use a hardened or coated nozzle to reduce wear from carbon fibers; brass nozzles may experience accelerated abrasion. Start with printing temperatures typical for PCTG-family materials and adjust within the manufacturer’s acceptable range to optimise layer bonding and flow; fine-tune print speed and retraction to minimise stringing. Ensure good bed adhesion with an appropriate build surface or adhesive and consider a heated bed to reduce warping during cooling. Allow printed parts to cool gradually before removal to preserve dimensional accuracy.
For consistent results, use a hardened nozzle of 0.4 mm or larger, set print temperatures according to PCTG guidelines, enable moderate print cooling when bridging, and store the filament in a dry environment to prevent moisture uptake that can affect print quality.
