ROSA3D PLA HS 1.75 mm filament in quantum purple is a 1000 g spool of high-strength PLA designed for FDM 3D printers using 1.75 mm filament. This filament is intended for general-purpose printing, offering reliable extrusion, good layer adhesion and a vivid purple colour suitable for prototypes, decorative items and functional parts with moderate mechanical requirements.
This PLA HS formulation provides improved strength compared with standard PLA while retaining the ease of printing associated with PLA materials. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures compatibility with a wide range of desktop FDM printers and the 1000 g spool gives a practical balance between print volume and storage. The quantum purple colour is consistent across prints, helping to achieve uniform visual results for multi-part projects.
This PLA HS filament is not formulated for high-temperature applications or parts that require significant heat resistance. For parts that will be exposed to sustained high temperatures, chemical solvents, or heavy mechanical loads beyond moderate use, alternative materials such as PETG, ABS, or engineering-grade polymers may be more appropriate.
Load the filament into any FDM 3D printer configured for 1.75 mm filament and set the nozzle and print bed conditions according to your printer manufacturer’s guidelines for PLA. Typical nozzle temperatures for PLA HS are similar to standard PLA; start with a mid-range temperature setting and adjust as needed to optimise extrusion and layer adhesion. Ensure the filament is dry before use and keep the spool covered or stored in a dry environment to prevent moisture absorption that can affect print quality.
For best results, print on a clean build surface, calibrate extrusion multiplier if necessary, and use moderate cooling to balance layer adhesion and surface finish. Store the spool in a sealed container with desiccant when not in use.
