ROSA3D PETG CF 1.75 mm filament in black is a carbon-fiber–filled PETG-grade material intended for FDM/FFF 3D printers using 1.75 mm filament. The blend combines PETG's chemical resistance and ease of printing with short carbon fibers to increase stiffness and improve dimensional stability compared with standard PETG. The 1000 g spool provides material for functional parts, prototypes and end-use components where improved rigidity and lower warpage are required.
The carbon-fiber reinforcement increases tensile stiffness and reduces part deformation during printing and in service. PETG CF retains PETG's good layer adhesion and chemical resistance while offering improved thermal and mechanical stability. The filament's 1.75 mm diameter is compatible with a wide range of desktop FDM/FFF printers, and the 1 kg spool format is suitable for small-batch production and repeated prototyping. Black color masks minor surface imperfections and is suitable for technical and visual parts.
Load the filament onto a compatible 1.75 mm printer and set up a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle if available to reduce abrasion from carbon fibers. Recommended printing temperatures typically fall within the PETG range; start from the printer manufacturer's PETG baseline and adjust as needed for extrusion consistency and layer bonding. Use medium to slow print speeds to ensure good interlayer adhesion and dimensional accuracy. Ensure the feed path and extruder are clean and calibrated to the filament diameter.
Use a hardened steel or ruby nozzle to minimize nozzle wear. Print with a heated bed and consider a brim or raft for improved adhesion. If precise surface finish is required, post-processing such as light sanding or primer and paint can be applied; remember carbon-filled PETG can wear abrasive tools and requires appropriate safety measures when machining or sanding.
