Flaring Tool Rothenberger 1000000223
The Rothenberger 1000000223 flaring tool is designed to produce accurate single flares on copper and soft metal tubing with nominal diameters of 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16 mm. Built with a compact, lightweight frame and a distinctive black-and-red finish, the tool aims to deliver consistent flare geometry for reliable mechanical and fluid-tight connections in heating, plumbing and refrigeration installations. At approximately 1.3 kg, it is easy to position and operate at work sites where access and mobility matter.
The tool provides reliable, repeatable flares across the supported tube sizes, reducing the need for rework. Its lightweight construction improves handling and reduces user fatigue during extended use. The design includes precision-forming components that help maintain correct flare angle and surface quality, supporting leak-free joints. Compact dimensions allow use in confined spaces and on-site service situations.
Select the appropriate size opening for the tube diameter, cut the tube square, and deburr the inner and outer edges before placing it in the flaring tool. Clamp the tube securely in the correct position so the end projects the specified length for forming a single flare. Operate the hand mechanism steadily to form the flare, then release the clamp and inspect the flare for uniformity and concentricity. If required, make minor adjustments and re-flare following the same procedure to achieve the correct profile.
Use clean, properly cut and deburred tubes to minimise the risk of leaks. Verify compatibility of tube material and wall thickness with manual single-flaring; avoid using excessive force during forming. After flaring, check the mating connection for correct seating and perform a pressure or leak test as appropriate for the application.
