Diamond Core Bit RUBI 8mm for Dry Drilling, model 05924
RUBI diamond core bit 8mm model 05924 is a compact cutting tool designed for dry drilling of small, precise holes in hard surfaces. Manufactured for use where wet cooling is impractical, this diamond-tipped bit delivers accurate perforations in ceramic, porcelain, tiles and similar materials. The 8 mm diameter and standard shank size make it compatible with many handheld drills and drill press setups with suitable adapters.
The diamond cutting edge gives effective abrasion resistance and longer service life compared with conventional carbide bits when working on abrasive surfaces. Its dry-drilling design eliminates the need for water supply and simplifies on-site use in areas where liquids are not allowed. The compact 8 mm diameter enables precise, clean holes with minimal chipping when used with correct drilling speed and appropriate backing.
Fit the 8 mm shank securely into the drill chuck or use a compatible adapter. Mark the drilling point and, where possible, use a backing board or tape to reduce chipping on the exit side. Start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then apply steady light pressure and maintain appropriate RPM for the material. Because the bit is intended for dry use, avoid prolonged continuous drilling; use pulsed drilling intervals to limit heat buildup. Keep the tool stable and perpendicular to the surface to ensure a clean, round hole.
Use personal protective equipment (eye protection, dust mask) and, if available, a vacuum extraction or dust collection system to remove ceramic dust. For best life and hole quality, avoid excessive pressure and allow short cooling pauses during extended use. When drilling particularly hard or thick tiles, verify compatibility and consider pilot holes or progressive cutting technique.
