Temperature Fire Detector Safe 10YHT-RF wireless — fire detection sensor
Safe 10YHT-RF wireless temperature fire detector is a temperature-based fire detection sensor designed to detect abnormal and rapid rises in ambient temperature. Intended to work as part of wireless detection systems, this thermal fire alarm sensor provides an alternative to smoke-based detectors in environments where smoke, dust or steam can cause false alerts. The device is suitable for monitoring rooms such as kitchens, garages, boiler rooms and other spaces with elevated background particles or fumes.
The Safe temperature fire detector focuses on thermal thresholds rather than airborne particles, reducing false alarms in dusty or smoky environments. Its wireless design enables easy integration into existing wireless safety networks and simplifies installation without running new cabling. As a purpose-built temperature sensor, it responds to sustained temperature increases and sudden heat spikes, providing reliable detection in areas where smoke detectors can be unreliable.
This temperature-based detector does not detect smoke or gases and therefore is not a replacement for smoke detectors in all locations. In living areas or corridors where early detection of smouldering fires (producing smoke but little heat) is critical, a smoke detector or a combined detection strategy should be used. For sites requiring detection of specific gases or very fast flame detection, complementary sensors may be required.
Install the Safe wireless temperature detector according to the wireless system manufacturer’s installation guide, placing it on the ceiling or high on a wall where temperature changes from a developing fire will be detected early. Avoid mounting directly above cooking appliances that produce regular heat spikes or in locations with strong drafts that could delay temperature rise. Pair the unit with your wireless detection system following the provided pairing procedure so alarms and alerts are routed to the central panel or monitoring service. Regularly test the detector using the system test function and replace batteries as indicated by the device or system maintenance schedule.
Use the Safe temperature fire detector as part of a layered fire detection strategy: pair it with smoke detectors in living or sleeping areas and ensure regular testing and maintenance. Position units where heat from a developing fire will accumulate while avoiding direct sources of repetitive heat to minimize nuisance triggers.
