Infrared Sensor Wired Ceiling/wall Satel AQUA Ring
Infrared Sensor Wired Ceiling/wall Satel AQUA Ring
The SATEL AQUA Ring is a wired digital passive infrared (PIR) motion detector in an oval enclosure, designed primarily for ceiling mounting but also suitable for wall installation. It is intended for indoor use where conventional wall mounting is difficult or impossible, such as rooms with glazed walls or display showcases, and for protecting large or open spaces. The device includes a quad-element PIR sensor, a digital motion detection algorithm with two-track (qualitative and quantitative) signal analysis, temperature compensation and a tamper switch. It complies with EN 50131 Grade 2 requirements and operates from 12 V with low power consumption.
The AQUA Ring provides high sensitivity and resistance to interference thanks to its quad-element PIR sensor, dual-track signal analysis and temperature compensation. Three-step sensitivity control allows adjustment to specific site conditions and user needs. Its compact oval design and ceiling mounting option enable coverage of large areas and installation where wall mounting is impractical. A tamper switch protects the enclosure against unauthorized opening.
Install the AQUA Ring on the ceiling (preferred) or on a wall following the manufacturer’s mounting instructions and wiring diagram. Connect the detector to the wired alarm control panel at 12 V and configure alarm and tamper cabling according to the system requirements. Set the sensitivity level (three-step control) to suit the protected area and expected activity. Test the detection coverage and adjust detector position if necessary to ensure reliable detection across the intended area.
For optimal performance, mount the detector in the center of the protected area on the ceiling and avoid placing it near strong heat sources, air vents or moving objects that may cause false alarms. Use the sensitivity adjustment to balance detection range and immunity to environmental disturbances. Perform periodic functional tests and visual inspections to ensure continued reliability.
