Circular polarizing camera filter Schneider Electric Praktica C-Pol 49mm
Circular polarizing camera filter Schneider Electric Praktica C-Pol 49mm
The Schneider Electric Praktica C-Pol 49mm circular polarizing camera filter is a threaded optical accessory designed for lenses with a 49 mm filter diameter. It reduces reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass and foliage, while improving color saturation and contrast. The filter mounts directly onto the lens thread, allowing photographers to control polarization on-site by rotating the filter to adjust the intensity of the effect.
This circular polarizer removes unwanted surface reflections and glare without affecting metallic specular highlights, enhances sky contrast and color depth, and helps achieve more vivid landscape and outdoor images. The threaded design ensures secure attachment and easy rotation for fine control of the polarization angle. The filter is relatively compact and lightweight, which keeps overall lens balance and does not add significant bulk to the camera setup.
Screw the filter onto the front thread of a lens with a 49 mm filter diameter until it sits securely but not overtightened. While looking through the viewfinder or at the live view screen, rotate the front element of the filter to change the polarization angle and observe the reduction of reflections or the deepening of sky color. Adjust rotation until the desired effect is reached, then lock your composition and exposure settings. Remove the filter when polarization is no longer needed or when shooting with wide-angle lenses if vignetting or uneven polarization occurs.
Use the circular polarizer primarily when shooting at a 90-degree angle to the sun for strongest sky polarization effects, and avoid combining it with other strong neutral density filters unless exposure and color balance are checked. Store the filter in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and keep optical surfaces clean with a microfiber cloth and appropriate lens cleaning fluid.
