Electromagnetic lock SCOT C3S11 / C5S11 500 kg holding force, 12–24V, IP42, 6.5 cm x 4 cm x 27.5 cm
Electromagnetic lock SCOT C3S11 / C5S11 delivers a holding force of up to 500 kg for secure door locking in access control and emergency-exit installations. The unit operates on low voltage (12–24 V) and has IP42 protection, providing basic defense against solid objects and dripping water. The electromagnet measures 6.5 cm (width) x 4 cm (depth) x 27.5 cm (height) and is supplied with an armature plate, fixing kit and installation instructions. Designed as a surface-mounted maglock, it is compatible with common brackets and housings and is intended for applications that require robust holding power with simple installation and low maintenance.
The SCOT C3S11 / C5S11 combines a high holding force with a compact surface-mount form factor. With no moving parts, the maglock reduces mechanical wear and simplifies maintenance. Low-voltage operation (12–24 V) allows integration with standard access control power supplies. IP42 rating ensures basic protection in indoor environments where exposure to dust and light moisture is limited. The package includes the armature plate and a fixing kit to support straightforward installation.
Install the electromagnet on the door frame as a surface-mounted unit using the supplied fixing kit and follow the included fitting instructions. Position the armature plate on the door leaf to align precisely with the magnet face for full contact when the door is closed. Connect the device to a suitable 12–24 V DC power supply and integrate with the access control or emergency-release circuitry as required. Check polarity and wiring, and test operation to ensure secure locking and reliable release when power is removed or when overridden by the control system.
For reliable performance, use within indoor environments that match the IP42 protection level, avoid exposure to heavy dust or direct water jets, and verify that door and frame materials are compatible with surface-mounted maglocks. Use a regulated 12–24 V DC supply and, if required, add surge protection and monitoring contacts within the access control setup. Follow local fire and safety regulations regarding emergency exits and fail-safe behavior.
