Polarizing Filter CPL Slim 52mm for Camera SEAGULL SB2198
Polarizing Filter CPL Slim 52mm for Camera SEAGULL SB2198
The SEAGULL SB2198 Polarizing Filter CPL Slim 52mm is a circular polarizer designed for use with cameras and video cameras that accept 52mm filter threads. It reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, improves color saturation and contrast, and helps suppress sky glare for clearer landscape and outdoor photography. The slim metal frame reduces the risk of vignetting on wide-angle lenses while preserving the ability to rotate the polarizing element for precise control of polarization effects.
This slim CPL filter provides effective reflection reduction and increased color fidelity without adding significant bulk to the front of the lens. The low-profile construction minimizes vignetting on wide-angle lenses, and the circular design maintains autofocus and exposure metering compatibility with modern camera systems. The filter surface is engineered to deliver even polarization across the full image frame while allowing smooth rotation for fine adjustments.
Screw the filter onto the lens front by matching the 52 mm thread and turn gently until it is secure. Rotate the outer ring while observing the scene through the viewfinder or on the camera screen to adjust the degree of polarization. Use the filter to reduce reflections on water, glass or foliage and to increase color saturation and contrast in skies and landscapes. Remove the filter when shooting with extreme wide-angle adapters if vignetting appears or when polarization is not needed.
For best results, compose with the sun approximately 90 degrees from the shooting direction when using polarization. Check focus and exposure after attaching the filter, and store the filter in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and dust buildup.
