Food dehydrator SENCOR SFD3109BK — countertop dehydrator, model SFD3109BK
SENCOR SFD3109BK is a countertop food dehydrator designed for home kitchens to dry fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, meat and fish. The model SFD3109BK provides controlled low-temperature drying to preserve nutrients and extend shelf life while remaining compact enough for standard kitchen countertops. The unit includes nine standard drying racks (with the option to buy a set of four additional racks) and a clear lid for easy visual monitoring of the dehydration process.
The dehydrator offers an adjustable temperature range from 35 to 80 °C and an integrated fan to ensure even airflow across all levels. Drying racks with a 33 cm diameter and 1.3 cm usable height per level are designed to optimize airflow and reduce the risk of mold. Racks and the lid are dishwasher-safe for straightforward cleaning, and a backlit main button with power indicator simplifies operation. Built-in safety features include a thermal fuse to protect against overheating.
Place the dehydrator on a stable, heat-resistant countertop and assemble the required number of drying racks according to the batch size. Arrange sliced or prepared food items in a single layer on each rack, avoiding overlap for even drying. Set the desired temperature between 35 and 80 °C depending on the food type and moisture content, then switch on the unit using the backlit main button. Monitor progress through the clear lid and remove trays when the food reaches the required dryness. Allow the dehydrated food to cool before storing.
For best results, use uniform slices and pre-treat foods that require it (for example blanching some vegetables or marinating meat for jerky). Start with a middle temperature for mixed batches and adjust as needed: lower temperatures preserve more nutrients and aromas, while higher temperatures reduce drying time. Clean racks and lid in the dishwasher after use and always allow the unit to cool before cleaning or storing.
