The sensor transmits current ambient temperature and humidity readings to the base station via 433 MHz RF, updating every 60 seconds. Housed in a compact weather-resistant enclosure, the sensor supports eight selectable channels to avoid interference and operates across a wide temperature and humidity range for reliable outdoor monitoring.

How to use

Install two 1.5 V AA batteries in the sensor compartment, observing correct polarity. Select an unused channel on both the sensor and the compatible SENCOR base station (CH 1–8) to establish communication. Mount the sensor outdoors in a sheltered location away from direct sunlight and heavy precipitation for representative readings; ensure the base station is within approximately 30 meters line of sight for reliable transmission. After powering up, allow a few minutes for the first transmission and then confirm the sensor’s readings appear on the SENCOR station display. Replace batteries when transmission weakens or readings become inconsistent.

Usage recommendations

For consistent and accurate outdoor measurements, position the sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated spot about 1.5–2 meters above ground and avoid locations directly exposed to rain or strong sunlight. Periodically check and replace AA batteries to maintain the 60-second transmission interval and normal operation.
