It delivers higher resolving power across the entire 24–70mm zoom range while remaining compact and lightweight for its class. The lens features a 19-element/15-group optical design, an 82 mm filter thread, a removable cylindrical hood and Sony E mount compatibility. Designed for stills and video, it provides a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture and a minimum focus distance of 0.17 m.
