Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer Signal Fire AI-30
Signal Fire AI-30 is a compact fiber optic fusion splicer engineered for accurate fiber alignment and reliable permanent splices. Designed for field use by telecom engineers and installation technicians, the AI-30 supports both single-mode and multimode fiber splicing and delivers the essential functionality required for network deployment, repair and routine maintenance.
The fusion splicer offers precise core alignment and a stable arc control mechanism to produce low-loss splices. Its compact footprint and rugged construction make it suitable for transport and on-site operation. The device provides straightforward controls and a clear display to simplify splice setup and verification, while battery-powered operation enables work in locations without mains power.
The AI-30 is focused on the core functions of fusion splicing and may lack advanced automation or the extended feature set found on higher-end models, such as high-count fiber management, automated fiber identification, or integrated VFL with advanced diagnostics. For large-scale production environments that require very high throughput and extensive automation, a dedicated production splicer may be more appropriate.
Prepare fibers by stripping and cleaving to the recommended lengths, then place the fibers into the V-grooves or clamps of the splicer. Use the device display and controls to align the fiber cores and initiate the fusion cycle. Monitor splice loss indications or visual confirmation on the screen, perform a protective sleeve application after a successful splice, and use the internal battery or AC power as required during the job.
Use a high-quality cleaver and follow recommended cleave lengths for reliable splice performance, perform routine calibration and electrode maintenance as specified by the manufacturer, and store completed splices in protective sleeves to preserve mechanical strength.
