Sealant Sika Sikaflex 11FC 300 ml, brown (MPN: SIK 2869)
Sika Sikaflex 11FC is a one-component polyurethane sealant supplied in a 300 ml cartridge in brown. Designed for elastic bonding and sealing, it cures to a resilient elastomer suitable for a range of construction and vehicle applications. The formulation provides good adhesion to many common substrates and remains flexible after curing, making it suitable for joints and general-purpose repairs where movement and durability are expected.
Sikaflex 11FC offers one-component convenience without the need for mixing, enabling straightforward application from a standard caulking gun. It provides durable elasticity after curing, good adhesion to typical construction materials and vehicle panels, and resistance to weathering and mechanical stress when properly applied. The brown color integrates with darker surfaces and trim where a discreet seal is required.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, dust and loose particles before application. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the required bead size and use a compatible caulking gun to apply Sikaflex 11FC directly into the joint or on the repair area. Tool the sealant within the tack-free time to achieve a smooth finish and proper contact with substrate edges. Allow the sealant to cure under atmospheric moisture; cure rate depends on temperature and humidity. Remove uncured sealant with appropriate solvents; cured material must be removed mechanically.
Prime porous or difficult-to-bond substrates as recommended by the manufacturer to ensure optimal adhesion. Avoid applying at temperatures outside the manufacturer's specified range and ensure joints are designed to accommodate expected movement. Test compatibility with paints and coatings if overpainting is required. Follow local safety and disposal regulations for construction sealants.
