Drill Bit Silver Korona SDS-Plus 80 mm (model 0556) for hammer drills
Drill Bit Silver Korona SDS-Plus 80 mm (model 0556) for hammer drills
The Silver Korona SDS-Plus 80 mm drill bit (model 0556) is a purpose-built accessory for SDS-Plus compatible hammer drills and rotary hammers. With an 80 mm overall length it is intended for drilling into masonry, concrete and similar mineral substrates. The SDS-Plus shank ensures secure, quick fitting and reliable torque and impact transfer during percussive drilling operations.
The drill bit is manufactured to provide consistent hole quality in masonry and concrete, with a shank profile that fits standard SDS-Plus chucks for fast bit changes. Its length and geometry are selected for common light-to-medium anchoring and fixing tasks, delivering repeatable performance when used with appropriate hammer drilling modes. The hardened working tip and flute design assist debris removal and maintain drilling efficiency under impact load.
Select the SDS-Plus mode on a compatible hammer drill and insert the shank into the tool’s chuck until it locks. Mark the drilling point, start drilling at low speed to position the bit, then apply steady pressure and engage the hammer action for effective cutting in masonry or concrete. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and debris from the hole and maintain drilling progress. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves.
Use the bit with drills sized appropriately to the application and avoid excessive lateral force. For anchoring, drill to the recommended depth, clear dust from the hole before inserting anchors, and check compatibility of anchor dimensions with the drilled hole. Replace the bit when wear degrades drilling performance or tip geometry.
