Flap Disc Silver PROFI-FLEX 125 mm P40, model 10071 by Silver
Flap Disc Silver PROFI-FLEX 125 mm P40, model 10071 by Silver is an abrasive flap disc designed for use with angle grinders. With a 125 mm diameter and coarse P40 grit, this flap disc is intended for aggressive material removal, blending and shaping on metal and other hard surfaces. The overlapping abrasive flaps provide a consistent cutting action and controlled stock removal suitable for weld preparation, rust and paint removal, deburring and initial surface leveling.
The layered construction of the Silver PROFI-FLEX flap disc ensures even wear across the abrasive surface and prolongs usable life compared with single-layer discs. Coarse P40 abrasive grit achieves fast material removal while maintaining predictable control during grinding tasks. The universal 125 mm size fits most small to medium angle grinders and the flexible backing helps conform to irregular shapes for smoothing and shaping. Designed for metalworking, the disc delivers a balance of cutting speed and surface finish suitable for preparatory and shaping operations.
Mount the flap disc securely on a compatible angle grinder following the grinder manufacturer's instructions. Operate the grinder at the recommended speed for the disc and the workpiece material, keeping the disc at a controlled angle to the surface for consistent stock removal. Apply moderate pressure and move the disc in a steady motion to avoid gouging; allow the abrasive flaps to do the cutting. Replace the disc when the abrasive flaps are worn to the point that cutting efficiency or safety is reduced.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection when grinding. Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and inspect the disc for damage before use. Start on a test area to confirm compatibility and finish, and avoid excessive side pressure beyond the disc's intended operating angle.
