Fuel check valve Silver EX031, 8 mm inlet/outlet, metal body
Silver fuel check valve EX031 is an inline non-return valve with 8 mm inlet and outlet designed to allow fuel flow in a single direction while preventing backflow. The metal-bodied construction provides mechanical durability and resistance to routine handling, and the compact cylindrical shape enables straightforward installation into existing fuel lines of small engines, motorcycles, lawn equipment and other petrol-powered machinery.
The metal body ensures robust mechanical strength and resistance to vibration and handling compared with many plastic alternatives. The 8 mm inlet and outlet match common fuel hose inner diameters, allowing a secure press-fit connection without additional fittings in many installations. The check valve’s inline layout minimizes space requirements and simplifies replacement or relocation within a fuel line. The valve is designed to provide reliable one-way flow control to reduce fuel leakage and prevent drain-back into carburetors or fuel pumps.
Cut the fuel hose at the chosen installation point and push each hose end firmly onto the valve’s 8 mm inlet and outlet until a secure press fit is achieved. Ensure the valve is oriented so that fuel flows in the intended direction; most valves are marked with a flow arrow or have a shaped interior indicating flow direction. Confirm hose clamps or crimps are fitted where required by the hose type and operating conditions. After installation, check for leaks by running the engine briefly and inspecting connections under normal operating pressure.
Use hoses rated for fuel service and compatible clamps; avoid prolonged exposure to fuels with high ethanol content if not specified for that use. Periodically inspect the valve for corrosion, damage or signs of wear and replace if flow restriction or leakage appears. When in doubt about compatibility with specific fuel additives or biofuels, consult the equipment manufacturer.
