Drill Chuck 13 mm 1/2" Keyed with Adapter Silver V008
Silver Drill Chuck 13 mm 1/2" Keyed with Adapter V008 is a keyed drill chuck designed to accept round and hexagonal drill bits up to 13 mm in diameter and to mount on 1/2" drill spindles. The package includes a chuck key for secure tightening and an adapter that enables use with alternate spindle sizes. The chuck is intended for hand drills and drill drivers where a keyed clamping mechanism is preferred for firm bit retention during drilling and light machining tasks.
The keyed mechanism provides reliable, consistent clamping force for a wide range of bit shank sizes up to 13 mm, reducing slippage under torque. The supplied adapter increases compatibility with different spindle tapers and shaft diameters, allowing the chuck to be fitted to multiple drill models. Constructed with a metal body and hardened jaws, the chuck offers durability for routine drilling operations while the compact design keeps weight and balance appropriate for handheld use.
Open the jaws fully by turning the chuck sleeve counterclockwise, insert the drill bit centrally and tighten the jaws by turning the sleeve clockwise until the bit is held firmly. Use the supplied chuck key to engage the geared holes in the chuck body and apply final tightening to ensure secure clamping, especially for high-torque applications. If required, fit the adapter onto the drill spindle before mounting the chuck to match the spindle diameter or taper; ensure all connections are seated fully and tightened before operation.
For safe and reliable operation, select drill speeds and feed rates appropriate to the work material and bit type. Periodically inspect the jaws and key for wear and remove chips or debris from the jaw grooves. Apply light machine oil to moving parts if the chuck becomes stiff, and always secure the drill or workpiece as needed to prevent slippage during use.
