Ball head Sirui KS-5 — aluminium, height 79 mm, weight 250 g, black
Ball head Sirui KS-5 — aluminium, height 79 mm, weight 250 g, black
Sirui KS-5 is a compact aluminium ball head designed for tripods and monopods, with a height of 79 mm and a weight of 250 g. Finished in black, the KS-5 provides smooth pan and tilt control for compact and lightweight camera setups. The head uses an Arca-compatible quick release plate with a flip lock and a safety bolt to secure equipment, and includes a magnetic Allen key for adjustments and maintenance. Intended as part of Sirui's KS low-gravity series, the KS-5 balances reduced center of gravity and reliable locking for stable shooting in travel, landscape and studio situations.
The KS-5 combines a low-profile aluminium construction with a quick-release flip lock system that allows one-handed mounting and fast changes between shots. A dual-lock design (flip lock plus safety bolt) reduces the risk of accidental release. Friction adjustment and freely adjustable knobs make it possible to tailor movement resistance to the weight of compact cameras or lightweight lenses. The included magnetic Allen key simplifies setup and on-the-spot tightening of the flip lock.
Mount the Arca-compatible quick release plate on your camera and slide it into the KS-5's side-loading clamp until the flip lock engages. Secure the safety bolt after the flip lock is closed to prevent accidental release. Use the main locking knob to fix the ball position, and fine-tune movement resistance with the friction control. The panning base can be used for smooth horizontal panoramas when unlocked. Use the included Allen key to adjust flip lock tightness or to perform routine maintenance.
For best stability, verify that the quick release plate is correctly seated and the safety bolt is tightened before releasing the camera. Match friction settings to the weight of your camera and lens to avoid unintended drift. The KS-5 is optimized for compact and lightweight setups; avoid mounting gear that exceeds the head's practical load capability within the KS Series design intent.
